MAFI and the Arab Academy Join Forces to Pioneer AI Integration in the Industrial Sector

MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport have signed a groundbreaking cooperation protocol to advance the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the industrial sector. The protocol was formalized by His Excellency Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy, and Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima, Chairman of MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries, during a ceremony that underscored the importance of bridging academia and industry to drive meaningful progress.

A Vision for Collaboration and Innovation

The agreement outlines a comprehensive framework for cooperation between MAFI and the Arab Academy in several transformative areas:

  • Technical support and consultancy to enhance industrial processes.
  • Recruitment and development of a specialized technology and AI team.
  • Design and creation of prototype robots for industrial applications.
  • Delivery of advanced AI training programs to build a future-ready workforce.
  • Establishment of the first Center of Excellence for Supply Chain Management and Industries utilizing AI.
  • Launch of the first NextGen AI Arabia, a pioneering competition to inspire young Arab innovators in AI solutions.

Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy, expressed his pride in this collaboration, emphasizing the academy’s pivotal role in preparing the Arab world for the opportunities and challenges of technological transformation.
