MAFI Brings AI-Driven, Sustainable Food Processing to Gulfood Manufacturing 2026.
Powering food security through technology, innovation and sustainable manufacturing
SADAT CITY, EGYPT — 27 October 2026 — MAFI for Agricultural Produce Industries, a joint Egyptian-Emirati venture, will participate in Gulfood Manufacturing 2026, taking place from 3 to 5 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Concourse 2, Stand CCM-8. At the exhibition, MAFI will present how advanced processing technology, AI-driven automation and sustainable operations work together to transform Egypt’s agricultural resources into high-quality ingredients for food and beverage manufacturers worldwide.
This year’s edition is held under the theme “Powering Food Security Through Manufacturing Innovation,” a vision at the heart of MAFI’s model. As the company prepares to launch production at its industrial complex in Sadat City, its participation highlights the role of smart, efficient and sustainable manufacturing in building more resilient global food supply chains.
An Integrated Complex Built for Scale
MAFI’s 157,000 m² export-oriented complex in Industria Sadat City brings together five specialized factories:
- Citrus concentrates
- Tomato and multi-fruits concentrates
- Cloudy juice concentrates
- IQF fruits and vegetables
- Freeze-dried products
The complex is designed for a total annual production capacity of more than 100,000 tons and supported by the region’s largest cold storage facility. It is built to deliver consistent quality and year-round supply stability to international partners.
Technology and AI at the Core
MAFI’s complex is built with technology from global industry leaders, across its 23 processing lines and the infrastructure that supports them.
Processing lines
- JBT for citrus extraction (including extractor lease), cloudy juice, and peel cloudy concentrate
- CFT for tomato paste and fruit puree
- JBT and Cabinplant for IQF processing, including strawberry and vegetable lines
- GEA for freeze-drying, centrifuges, and peel oil recovery
- Bucher for debittering
- Tomra for sorting machines
Utilities and infrastructure
- Grade Refrigeration for ammonia refrigeration
- Hitachi Energy for medium voltage transformers
- Tectra-Cochran for steam boilers
- Baltimore Aircoil for cooling towers
AI-driven automation supports precise, consistent production. Quality control and traceability systems follow every product from farm to final product.
MAFI’s commitment to industrial AI also extends beyond its production lines. Through a cooperation protocol with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the company is supporting AI integration in the industrial sector. The protocol covers specialized AI talent development, industrial robotics prototypes and advanced AI training programs.
Sustainability by Design
Sustainability is built into how MAFI’s complex is designed and operated:
- The complex is designed to meet LEED v4 Gold standards.
- It features solar-powered facilities, water-efficient processing and energy-efficient technologies.
- Citrus peels are repurposed in-house into aromatic essences, turning by-products into valuable inputs.
- Packaging is designed to be recyclable or biodegradable.
MAFI’s IQF and freeze-drying technologies preserve the natural taste, nutritional value and freshness of produce while extending shelf life. This helps reduce food waste across the supply chain.
A Portfolio Built for Global Manufacturers
MAFI will present its portfolio of citrus concentrates, tomato and multi-fruits concentrates, cloudy juice concentrates, IQF fruits and vegetables, and freeze-dried products. These ingredients are developed for applications across beverages, sauces, dairy, bakery, confectionery and snacks, and are available in bulk and private-label formats.
Gulfood Manufacturing brings together food processors, ingredient buyers, importers and private-label partners from around the world. For MAFI, it is an opportunity to build long-term partnerships with manufacturers seeking reliable, high-quality supply from Egypt.
Guided by its positioning, “Pioneering the Future of Food Innovation,” MAFI continues to connect Egypt’s agricultural strength with advanced food processing technology, creating new possibilities for manufacturers across global markets.
