Mai Abou Hashima is a strategic leader with 24 years of experience in business development, corporate growth, and organizational transformation. As Senior Marketing and Business Development Director at MAFI, she plays a key role in advancing the company’s strategic vision, expanding its market reach, and driving sustainable partnerships that reinforce MAFI’s leadership in the global agri-food sector.

Her professional journey began at the Arab League, where she gained invaluable insight into regional collaboration and policy frameworks. She went on to serve as Strategic Planning Manager at SAPESCO Petroleum Services, where she led critical initiatives in business planning and operational alignment.

Mai held a significant tenure at Egyptian Steel Group, where she advanced through senior leadership positions including Internal Communications Manager, Corporate Services Manager, and HR Senior Manager. Her work extended to supporting the commercial business development efforts of the group, helping shape internal structures that aligned with long-term growth objectives.

As part of the founding team of Egyptian Media Group, she served as Commercial Executive Director, contributing to the group’s market positioning and execution of high-level strategic initiatives. She has also played a leading role at Egyptian Industrial Investment Group, where she led the evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments. Her work also encompassed identifying and developing new business opportunities, enhancing EIIG’s investment portfolio and corporate growth strategy.

Academically accomplished, Mai holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science and has furthered her executive education with a Certificate in Business Management from the American University in Cairo and completion of The Artificial Intelligence Program from Oxford University. She is also certified in finance, entrepreneurship, and community development, underscoring her dedication to continuous learning and innovation.
