With over three decades of leadership experience in organizational transformation, corporate strategy, and governance, Sherif Fawzy is a driving force behind MAFI’s expansion and long-term vision. As Chief Corporate Development Officer, he spearheads the company’s corporate structure, governance frameworks, and strategic initiatives to ensure sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
Sherif’s career is defined by his ability to build, transform, and optimize organizations. Before joining MAFI, he played a pivotal role in shaping Egyptian Steel Group’s corporate services function, leading its transformation for over nine years. Prior to that, he made a national impact as Executive Director of the Egyptian Regulatory Reform Activity, working closely with Egypt’s development partners to drive government-led economic and business reforms.
His strategic expertise extends beyond industry, having served as a Senior Advisor for Competitiveness & Investment Climate at Bearing Point, an advisor at the Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company, and a Senior Analyst at HSBC, where he gained deep insights into global financial and industrial markets.
Academically, Sherif is a strong advocate of governance and corporate excellence. He holds a master’s degree in governance from the University of Granada, Spain, as well as an MBA from the American University in Cairo, equipping him with the expertise to navigate complex business landscapes and drive impactful change.
