Sherif Tantawy has more than 25 years of expertise in Finance, Business Development, and General Management, shaping landmark industrial ventures and greenfield projects.
As the CEO of MAFI, he spearheads the company’s vision to become a global agri-food industry player, leveraging innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Sherif’s journey with MAFI began through his leadership at EIIG, where he identified and executed the investment strategy that led to MAFI’s inception. Prior to this, he served as General Manager at Egyptian Steel Group from 2020 to 2022, overseeing the group’s growth and operational expansion. Before that, he played a pivotal role as Group CFO of Egyptian Steel, where he led the financial structuring and strategic development of the company’s industrial assets.
With a decade of experience at Orascom Construction Industries, Sherif held key positions, including CFO of the Construction Group and Business Development Director leading various industrial investment initiatives worldwide. His career also includes significant contributions in financial advisory, corporate restructuring, and large-scale acquisitions and greenfield projects, collaborating with local and international stakeholders to drive business success.
Under his leadership, MAFI is poised to revolutionize the agro-processing sector in the Middle East, leveraging Egypt’s competitive advantages to cater to high-potential markets in Europe and the U.S.
